    ¿What is Wallpeople?

Wallpeople is a collaborative art project based in Barcelona that invites people to create and be part of a unique moment in a specific urban space. Our actions are aimed at creating unique street works thanks to the participants’ contributions.

One of the basic aims of Wallpeople is to return art to the streets and reclaim public space as a means of expression and citizen interaction. We believe that creativity is free and shouldn’t stay locked up in museums. Wallpeople plays moving phenomenon occurring on the Internet (Flickr, Pinterest) to real life and tries to recover the most manual part of art, avoiding the digital.

Up to now, it has been focused on photography, but Wallpeople is a living and changing project. That’s why in this new edition we offer something different.

    Wallpeople around the word

    From Barcelona to the World

Being a collaborative initiative Wallpeople seeks to involve other cities. Thanks to Internet and the interest that many people have shown in the project, Wallpeople has been held in over 20 cities: Barcelona, Lisbon, Santiago, Chile, Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Madrid, Bratislava, Bogota, Bilbao, Istanbul, Berlin, Palma de Mallorca, Rome, Valencia, San Juan, Puerto Rico, Budapest, Seville, Rio de Janeiro, Porto, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Nicosia. We expect many others in this new edition.
